Lithuania is calling out to all the dreamers and doers from around the world who want to turn their business ideas into reality in this bustling European gem. If you’re a Non-EU entrepreneur with ambitions plans, the National Visa D is your golden ticket to making those dreams come true. Let’s break down the process and make it super friendly for you.

The National Visa D isn’t just any visa – it’s tailor-made for entrepreneurs like you who want to build business and call Lithuania home for the long haul. Unlike short stays, this visa lets you hang around for more than 90 days, giving you the time you need to get your business off the ground.

Key Requirements

  1. Incorporation or Purchase of a Lithuanian Company:

    Registration from scratch: Your company should be established no earlier than one year before submitting the visa application.
    If you’re eager to apply for your visa right away but haven’t set up a company yet, consider opting for a ready-made one!

    Purchase of a ready-made: Pre-established company can be quickly transferred to your ownership, saving you time and hassle in the incorporation process. Fully compliant with the residency requirement option, allowing you to proceed with your visa application smoothly.
  2. Membership in the Company
    As the visa applicant, you must be a member of your company;
  3. Minimum Share Capital
    Make sure your company has a minimum share capital of €28,000, with at least 50% of this amount funded by you, the visa applicant.

Navigating the Application Process

When it comes to applying for a national visa, here’s what you need to know about where and how to apply:

If You’re Abroad: You can apply either at a Lithuanian visa service point in your foreign country or through a visa application center operated by an external service provider.

If You’re Already in Lithuania: Head over to one of the territorial divisions of the Migration Department in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, or Panevėžys.

Once you’ve submitted your application, the decision to issue your national visa usually comes within 15 calendar days. However, this period can be extended by up to 45 calendar days if needed.
